Babies and toddlers are MESSY!  Whether it’s meal time, snack time, or changing time, you can pretty much guarantee there’s going to be some kind of mess involved.  I swear I spend half my day cleaning up after them!

Now while my house is not perfectly clean by any means, here are the items I love that keep my life a little less messy, and allow me to spend more time with my children instead of cleaning!!  All of the items I have listed have reviews of four stars or higher.

Must Have Items for the Independent Toddler

Toddlers love their independence!  They also love to help around the house.  We do our best to nurture their need to do things on their own.  We put essential clothing in the lower drawers so our toddler can pick out his own clothes, and we give him a lot of choices so he can feel like he’s picking his own food and activities.  He loves picking out his own books at story time, and even turns the pages for me as I read!  Here are some of the items we love that have helped our little one’s independence shine!

Well there we were.  At the airport about to take our first vacation with the kids.  We were traveling from California to New Hampshire, so not a quick flight.  We could already see the looks people were giving us as they hoped we would not be on their flight.
